Rush Poker

Rush Poker

Get bored at a regular poker table? Then Rush Poker is best for you. Rush Poker, introduced by the online poker site Full Tilt Poker, allows players to move tables quickly after their action in a hand has ended. It’s a brand new addition from Full Tilt Poker, and the action junkie who can now play more hands in an hour, will definitely like this idea, it’s perfect for them.

Rush Poker is an evolution of the game of poker. It’s a brilliant move by Full Tilt Poker. If you haven’t played a hand of No Limit Hold’em cash in the last months and were just too bored of the game, you  will not get enough of rush now.

How to Play Rush Poker Tips

Here are some Rush Poker tips for gaining an edge in the face-paced game.

Tip 1: Play tight early and attack in position.
Players are playing extra tight because it seems worthwhile to wait for a good hand. That’s something you can exploit. You also have the added advantage of players at your table not knowing that you are playing very loose in position.

Tip 2: Be aware, the action is too quick to take notes.
If you are one of those people who play poker in a systematical and analytical manner and use this note-taking feature all the time, be aware that the action is way too quick to take notes on players.

Tip 3: Don’t pay attention to HUD stats.
A lot of players have experienced issues with their Heads-Up Displays (HUDs) not working properly. If you rely heavily on your HUD, be aware that the action is too quick for the HUDs to keep up.

Tip 3: Adjust your game properly.
The ABC poker the most common strategy in Rush Poker games so the key is to adjust your game properly. You might want to play loosely to exploit the excess usage of ABC poker.

Rush Poker
is best suited for the action junkie who gets bored at a regular poker table. You don’t have to pay attention to HUD stats or table dynamics and you get to play a ton of hands. Who wouldn’t like that?

Full Tilt Poker review

FullTilt Poker is one of the leading poker rooms and is frequented and endorsed by some of the biggest names in poker today. Launched in 2004, FullTilt Poker is now by far one of the  most famous poker sites online and always pushing to build its reputation as a market leader. Adding to its prestige is “Team Full Tilt,” the site’s main sponsored pros and the bulk of its ownership group, including poker legends Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, Allen Cunningham, Phil Ivey, Mike Matusow and Andy Bloch.

The site’s famous catchphrase is “Learn, chat and play with the pros” and they definitely live up to it, with the main team and a growing list of Full Tilt “red pros” playing regularly at a variety of limits. For the average joe there’s action at virtually any game and limit 24/7, with Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo, Five-Card Draw and Razz all offered.

PlayersOnly – Word’s Sexiest Poker

PlayersOnly Poker

PlayersOnly Poker – Word’s Sexiest Poker . PlayersOnly Poker opened in 2006 on the Cake poker network, joining a small but growing group of poker sites accepting U.S. players and U.S. credit card deposits. This fact makes it a no-brainer choice if you’re looking for easy deposits. They can successfully process any US-issued credit card, allowing players to bypass the waiting time and hassle of an e-wallet.

In addition to that this sportsbook-crossover site has awful players and surprisingly has busy tables up to the higher limits. The software and graphics are quite nice, but thankfully not at the expense of functionality. The site was developed by a group of poker players, whom did a great job on making this rooms very players friendly, so functionality was also kept a priority.

Bodog Poker

Bodog – No BULL #!T. Bodog is one of the most underrated poker rooms online and one that we certainly commend for sticking to their rebellious guns and continuing to accept US players. In terms of the competition you’ll face at the poker room, this site earns a top rating due to the consistently awful ring game play.

Originally (and still primarily) a sportsbook, Bodog Poker has been operating since 2004 and despite some slips along the way appears to be holding steady with a top 15 market share of player traffic. Quality software and good customer service makes this poker room very attractive to beginners as well as pros.

Unlike some rooms, Bodog Poker also offers the full assortment of poker variations with Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo and even Five-Stud available.

Bodog also one of the best with many deposit alternatives and free express check withdrawals. While the poker branch of Bodog has floated under the radar since its inception several years ago it remains a solid choice with one of the few remaining collections of loose tables.
Bodog Poker Review: Software and Graphics
Bodog Poker has full-featured software offering with a slick, dark theme that aims to cater to the high-stakes lifestyle. The software runs fast and smooth with good playability and a variety of options to customize your playing experience. The Bodog player stats window also keeps up-to-the-hand details on your progress and you can reset these at any time. This site also has a pretty detailed hand history option, allowing you to see every player’s hole cards in a showdown situation.

The overall aesthetic at Bodog Poker is polarizing but most players seem to enjoy the swanky style of the room. The latest version of Bodog Poker’s software supports play at four tables simultaneously where the player is always seated in the middle.

A big plus will also come for multi-table players as the software has a “table-in-table” view. Players can see up to 3 tables on one screen instead of clicking around between multiple windows. Unlike the clunky mini-table views at most sites, the Bodog layout is the most logical and easiest to see.

Unique to Bodog is it no longer uses the classic “table” design; instead players get the feeling of “floating” on a big carpet of felt in the color of choice (a new design about which PokerListings has received various judgments). The look is swanky and different. Some like it, some hate it, but what remains true is that Bodog Poker always tries to stay ahead of the pack.

Bodog Poker Tournaments and Freerolls

Bodog Poker hosts a ton of tournaments every day with buy-ins ranging from $1 all the way up to several hundred dollars. For the most part tournaments are busy, fast and offer good structures. As usual, players in the low buy-in tournaments are quite bad while the bigger tournaments offer some stronger competition. Bodog regularly has to add $30,000+ to the prize pool just to meet the $100,000 guarantee. This is like starting a tournament with 300 players already knocked out. The buy-in is modest at $100 and players actually have a realistic chance at getting into the biggie by advancing a few steps from the $1 buy-in satellites.

Bodog Poker is most famous for its $100 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed tournament – an event praised for its good structure. Other tournaments where players can win big for small buy-ins are the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker qualifiers.

Bodog Poker offers plenty of free or almost-free tournaments also. The freerolls are mostly large multi-table No-Limit Hold’em tournaments and feature, as expected, exceptionally loose play.

Every day Bodog Poker runs $1,500 in guaranteed freerolls as an easy way to build your bankroll from scratch and they are immensely popular. There are also plenty of tournaments that can be entered using Bodog Poker Player Points

Multi-table and sit-and-go tournaments entered with points usually pay out in tournament tokens or points

Bonus Clearing: For the 30-day match bonus, $1 is credited for every 10 player points. To use for play on the site, no more points are needed. To withdraw however, the standard bonus rollover is in effect and a player must earn an extra 3 player points/$1.

Loyalty Bonus/Promotions

Bodog Poker offers a loyalty system allowing all new players to start with 50 points. The points can be used in tournaments with real cash prizes. Players can accumulate Bodog Poker points three ways: contributing to a pot that is raked in ring games, playing in tournaments, and with overall time spent playing.

Points are awarded ranging from a maximum of one point when $1-$3 is paid in rake to a minimum of 0.10 points when 5¢-20¢ is paid. For tournaments, six points are awarded for every $1 in fees paid, so you will get 30 Bodog Poker points for entering a tournament with an entry cost of $55 (buy-in and fee).

Bodog Poker also offers a refer-a-friend bonus, where the referrer can earn up to $100 at 20% deposit match of the referral’s first deposit.

Support

Bodog Poker offers support via e-mail and a 24/7 support phone number. Their response time is fairly quick and accurate. The Web site is quite informative and covers most important topics.

Sportsbook Poker Review

Sportsbook is an established online sports book and casino provider. Their poker room, however, was launched only recently and is part of the Cake Poker network. There are three cool features about Sportsbook poker room: the ability to deposit smoothly using US credit cards, the awful players that populate the tables, and the combination of an instant deposit bonus with a larger play-through bonus.

Sportsbook Poker is available exclusively to U.S. and Canadian players.  Most of the player base comes through the sportsbook and casino, which makes a large portion of the players beginners and very easy to beat.

The software features nice graphics and functionality. Game play is very good and offers basically everything most poker players need, with good table stats, fast action, 10 tables for multi-tabling and great support features.

Game selection is also decent, with all variations of Texas Hold’em plus Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo. Games are definitely concentrated in No-Limit Hold’em, and especially at the small and middle limits, but at peak hours players can be found at pretty much any limit and game.

Great selection of tournaments will satisfy any player from the beginner to the pro.  Sportsbook Poker also offers monthly massive-value $100,000 freerolls.

Software and Graphics
Sportsbook Poker’s software runs fast and smooth. You can also see your own playing stats right at the table – like how often you see the flop, your win percentage, etc – making it a great learning site for beginners.

Overall the graphics are nice and clean and make for fast play, often dealing 60-70 hands per hour in full ring games. The software does not feature a player time bank, which helps to speed up the game overall and eliminates the obnoxious posturing common at poker rooms supporting extra time.

Multi-table play is easy and smooth and works well with the stats tools available.

On the negative side, the note-taking function is a little hard to use and the software offers no mini-view or other multi-table help functionality. Occasionally the software will also freeze, but simply closing the program and opening it back up again seems to solve it.

Just like many others Sportsbook offers great hands history that is really easy to use.

Sportsbook Poker Tournaments

Tournament buy-ins range from as little as $1 all the way to a few hundred. Tournaments are busy and fast with a good structure. Daily tournaments usually get around 5-600 players for low stakes and around 200 for high stakes ($50 and above). Weekly tournaments get up to 3,000 players for low stakes and 1,000+ for the major Sunday tournaments.

Daily guaranteed tournaments range from the $1,500 ($1 buy-in plus rebuys) to the $20,000 ($100 buy-in). There are also usually two Pot-Limit Omaha guarantees. The cheaper one guarantees $1,500 ($5 buy-in plus rebuys) while the big one offers $3,000 ($10 buy-in plus rebuys).

Weekly tournaments include a $100,000 guaranteed and a $50,000 guaranteed. Once a month there is a giant $250,000 guaranteed event.

Sportsbook Poker also offers a regular satellites to major live tournaments around the world plus unique events like Kamikaze sit and gos, where everyone is all-in every hand, and Double-ups, where the top five of 10 get double their money.

Sportsbook Poker offers relatively few freerolls on a daily basis, but the ones they do offer are usually massive. Each month a $100,000 guaranteed freeroll is played where the winner takes home $75,000 and the runners-up share $25,000. Online, it doesn’t get any better than that.

The overall freeroll series runs for 10 months and awards $1 million in free tournament prizes. Both freeroll and cash qualifiers for the monthly $100,000 finals run daily.

Bonus Clearing

Real-money play at Sportsbook Poker earns Frequent Player Points (FPP). Players receive one FPP for every dollar in rake and seven FPPs for every dollar in tournament fees.

Each FPP is worth 6¢ towards your pending bonus. Once you’ve earned $10, the funds are moved from your pending bonus account into your regular balance. This continues until the pending bonus account reaches $0. Note that the last payout could be less than $10 if the remaining amount in your pending bonus account is less than $10.

Bonus clearing time is 90 days.

Loyalty Program/Promotions

Sportsbook Poker offers a loyalty system based on frequent player points, with “Gold Chips” and “Gold Cards” available. Whenever you play at real-money games or pay tournament fees, you earn Frequent Player Points, which fill in your “Gold Chip Meter.”

Once your meter is full, you get a Gold Chip that is yours to spend in the Players Rewards store on everything from tournament tickets to DVDs and books and more. Once you’ve earned your first, you’ll also earn your next with less FPPs, and so on.

Players earn Gold Cards at real-money ring games when a certain amount of rake is collected.Once you’ve hit the amount at your table, a Gold Card will be randomly selected from the Vault and displayed at the end of the hand. If the Gold Card matches one of your hole cards you win that Gold Card, even if you folded your cards during the hand.

Once you’ve won a Gold Card, you have four ways to win with a daily lottery, weekly races, guaranteed cash prizes and a grand prize.

PokerStars – Find the Poker Star in You

PokerStars Real Money

PokerStars is the largest poker site in the world that offers 24 hours a day massive volume in cash games and tournaments and actiona with an unmatched selection and sit-and-gos at all stakes starting up virtually every second.

The software offers fast play, high reliability, outstanding multi-table options and personal customization.

As a downside of PokerStars we would point out the inconsistent competition. Huge players’ base, the opposition can range from super soft at one table to unbelievably aggressive just the next table over. Lower limits and tournaments are still flush with bad players but there are literally thousands of strong players trolling PokerStars daily looking to make a living, so expect some tough competition scattered throughout your games.

PokerStars is offering a wide spread of games; Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Seven-Card Stud in all versions, H.O.R.S.E., H.O.S.E., 2-7 Triple Draw, Five-Card Draw, Razz, 2-7 Single Draw Lowball, Badugi, 8-Game, Mixed Hold’em and Mixed Omaha Hi/Lo. The list is keep growing on the daily basis.

All of these futures keep PokerStars in the best top five US friendly online poker rooms. Great respond level to their player’s requests and feedbacks make PokerStars one of my favorite poker rooms out of all. Tough competition at the higher stakes holds me from ranking them higher.

PokerStars Software and Graphics

The PokerStars software is privately developed and is one of the best in the business and sets a standard for the all online poker rooms. Their recent software upgrade deserves top ranking in my chart.

Ability to personalize the software, players can upload an image to use as their icon. You can block player images as well; finally you can get rid off cats, dogs, cars and playboy bunnies at your table.

Players can save, edit and custom their game profiles. Automatically tile or cascade all open tables, letting the player customize his entire playing experience. I would call it fully customized poker experience.

The PokerStars graphics are on of the highest level I have ever seen; detailed, clean, and customizable. Every player can find layout that feeds his best interest.

One of my favorite features is ability to revisit recent hands without leaving the table. It give you advantage when you trying to predict what types of hands your opponents are trying to play.

In overall PokerStrars are one of the most advanced poker rooms in terms of customization and ability to suit needs of every player.

PokerStars Tournaments

PokerStars is the biggest online poker site in the world. Tons of tournaments options will suit your wallet and your performance.

Buy-ins range from $1 up into the hundreds. The largest guarantees are held each Sunday, including the $1.5 GTD Sunday Million and $750k GTD Sunday Warm-Up. In general, the higher the buy-in, the tighter the competition will become. Low buy-in tournaments have relatively loose competition and are easy enough for a moderately skilled player to cash in.

Also, every year PokerStars runs the World Championship of Online Poker, which is a multiple event tournament series that often has a total prize pool of $30+ million. This is the biggest online poker tournament series, and each player who wins an event actually gets a bracelet, just like in the WSOP.

Aside from the guaranteed tournaments, PokerStars runs the most satellite tournaments to major live and online poker events, like the World Series of Poker, the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour, Asia Pacific Poker Tour, Latin America Poker Tour and the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, to name just a few.

PokerStars is always expanding its tournament offerings based on player feedback. Some of its latest additions are the “Double or Nothing” SNGs, in which half the field doubles their money, and multi-day events for special tournaments like the WCOOP Main Event.

Bonus Clearing

The bonus is released in $10 increments at a rate of 17 VPP per $1 of bonus. Players may make up to three deposits in total to claim the full bonus but they must be made within 60 days of the first deposit. Players then have six months to earn the full bonus amount.

Loyalty Program/Promotions

PokerStars offers loyal players a great loyalty program with two types of points earned for real-money play:

1) VIP player points (VPPs)

2) Frequent Player Points (FPPs)

VPPs determine your VIP level and can’t be exchanged for cash or prizes. FPPs can be used to buy merch, electronics, etc. in the store, can be turned into cash or used to play in special points tournaments. The higher your VIP level, the faster your FPP accumulation, the better perks you get, etc.

1-3 FPPs are awarded per raked real-money hand depending on total rake; 5 FPPs are awarded for each $1 in tournament fees.

Support

Overall, PokerStars provides you fast and efficient support by a very professional staff. Could have been graded as the highest if had a live support.
