I was wondering what a sit & go poker tournament is? What does the term “sit & go” mean?

You sit down and go. It means a fast starting, fast running tournament.

If it is a single table sit-n-go, it means that the tournament will start as soon as 9 players buy-in for the tournament. A regular tournament has a scheduled start time. The sit-n-go starts when all the seats are filled.
